Vocabulary

180 Degree Rule: A rule that two characters in a scene should always have the same left/right relationship with each other.

Ad Lib: To make up as you go along. (Improvise)

Antagonist: A character that is the enemy or villian.

Aperture: The size of the opening in a lense when a picture is taken.

Back Story: A story that tells what led up to the main story. (As of a film)

Boom: A stick that holds a microphone or a camera.

Catharsis: Bringing closure or resolving a problem.
